For the start of a center pass the centre must adhere to specific rules:
This include standing with at least one foot wholly within the center circle before the center pass whistle is blown.
If this is done incorrectly the Umpire Calls:
Positioned Incorrectly – Free Pass (inside the centre circle).
Previously this rule was called as “Not wholly within”.
The hand signal is still the same.
